Sponsor a child in Africa

Child at the SOS School Tema GhanaAfrica is a diverse, vibrant and vast continent. Yet it is also home to some of the highest rates of poverty, HIV/AIDS, and children without parental care.

For over 40 years, SOS Children has been supporting vulnerable children and families in the African continent to flourish. At the core of our work in Africa are SOS Children's Villages. These are special communities which provide children who have been orphaned or abandoned with a new loving family home. Across 45 African countries, we care for over 16,000 children in 153 SOS Children's Villages.

“Sponsoring a child feels more special than other charitable donations - it's so much more than just giving money, it's like getting a new family member.”
